The group evaluated the existing Mission in line with the accepted guidelines that the mission should be short and captivating so that all staff, clients and other stakeholders will identify with it. It should also capture what the Trust Fund is established to do to provide its core focus. In view of this the Mission has been revised to read as follows: ‘We improve the lives of the 52 resettlement townships through the provision of socio-economic projects’.
The vision statement of an organization focuses on the future picture of the Trust Fund. All internal stakeholders such as the staff, management and Board of Managing Trustees should identify with it, believe in it and collectively work to achieve it. The vision of the Trust Fund was revised to read: ‘To assist in the provision of educational facilities, health facilities and empower economically community members of the 52 resettlement communities’.
